Tour Overview

Bhangarh Fort lies about 85 km from Jaipur, on the edge of the Aravalli hills and near the Sariska Tiger Reserve. Built in the 17th century by the rulers of Amber, it was once a small walled town with markets, temples, havelis and a palace, but today it stands deserted and partially ruined. Legends of curses and restless spirits add an eerie atmosphere to the site, and for this reason the fort is officially closed between sunset and sunrise.

Abhaneri, around 95 km from Jaipur, is a small village best known for Chand Baori, a 9th–10th‑century stepwell that drops more than 20 metres into the ground. Over 3,000 narrow steps form a precise, zig‑zag pattern down three sides of the well, while carved pavilions and shrines line the fourth side. Next to the stepwell stands the Harshat Mata Temple, dedicated to the goddess of joy and happiness, which preserves fine stone carvings even in its partially ruined state.

Suggested Itinerary

  • 08:00 AM – Pick‑up in Jaipur: Your driver meets you at your hotel, homestay or a central meeting point. After a short briefing about the day, you set off toward Bhangarh by private car.
