Detailed Itinerary
Morning – Fort and Old City
- 8:00 AM: Pick‑up from your Jaisalmer hotel, homestay or railway station and drive up towards Jaisalmer Fort.
- 8:30–11:00 AM: Enter the fort through its main gate and explore the inner lanes, Jain temples and viewpoints. Spend time at the main chowks, visit selected temples if open and enjoy wide views over the city from the ramparts.
Late Morning – Patwon Ki Haveli
- 11:15 AM–12:30 PM: Continue to Patwon Ki Haveli, a cluster of five merchant mansions known for their latticework, arches and decorated interiors. Walk through its courtyards and rooms to see how wealthy trading families once lived in Jaisalmer.
Lunch Break
- 12:30–1:30 PM: Enjoy lunch at a recommended local restaurant or rooftop café near the old city (payable directly), with time to rest from the midday heat.
Afternoon – Nathmal Ki Haveli and Markets
- 1:45–3:00 PM: Visit Nathmal Ki Haveli to see its distinctive front façade and carved details, then spend some time walking or driving through nearby streets to get a feel of everyday market life.
Late Afternoon – Gadisar Lake
- 3:30–5:00 PM: Drive to Gadisar Lake on the edge of the old town. Stroll along the walkways, visit the small shrines and pavilions and, if you like, take a short boat ride on the lake (ticket extra and subject to availability).
Evening – Drop Back
- 5:30–6:00 PM: Return to your hotel or preferred drop‑off point in Jaisalmer with enough time to relax or head out again for dinner at your own pace.
